A number of libraries are collecting moving image related books and periodicals in Japanese. However, we have found that it is difficult to search for these materials with any confidence. Each key-word search tends to produce a different set of entries, and some holdings we know exist are maboroshi; they are in the library but not in the computer. For this reason, none of the following lists can be completely trusted. This will still help researchers locate materials quickly, and make interlibrary loan much more user friendly. In addition to relatively complete lists of holdings, we will also include brief notes of "jewels" out there. These are short lists of unusual and precious periodicals and reprints that are worth knowing about.
